Sonic CD port: quick answers
- Do I need to own Sonic CD?
- Yes. RSDKv3 Decompilation needs game files from a copy you own. PlayPorted links only to the project page and never to game files.
- Is the Sonic CD port finished?
- Yes, the project calls it playable. Its last update was Oct 2026, and the latest release is 1.3.3.
- Which systems does it run on?
- Windows, macOS and Linux.
- Is it an emulator?
- No. RSDKv3 Decompilation rebuilds the game's source code, so it runs as a native program instead of through an emulator.
