Mega Man X5 PC port: quick answers
- Do I need to own Mega Man X5?
- Yes. MegaManX5Recomp needs game files from a copy you own. PlayPorted links only to the project page and never to game files.
- Is the Mega Man X5 PC port finished?
- It is in beta: playable, with known issues. Its last update was Sep 2026, and the latest release is v0.1.0-alpha.
- Which systems does it run on?
- Windows and Linux.
- Is it an emulator?
- No. MegaManX5Recomp translates the original game code into native code, so it runs without an emulator.
