Cave Story port: quick answers
- Do I need to own Cave Story?
- Yes. NXEngine-evo needs game files from a copy you own. PlayPorted links only to the project page and never to game files.
- Is the Cave Story port finished?
- Yes, the project calls it playable, with no release so far.
- Which systems does it run on?
- Windows, macOS and Linux.
- Is it an emulator?
- No. NXEngine-evo is a new engine that loads the original game's data, so no emulator is needed.
